35mm Single Lens Reflex Cameras

The Soviets probably produced the worlds first 35mm SLR the Sport. The reason that it is only probably is their penchant for secrecy. The press had reports of the camera long before it was produced. It probably was produced before the Kine Exacta but unfortunately there is no proof either way.

They also produced the only SLR developed from the Leica. The original Zenit was a modification of the Zorki copy of the Leica. They added the mirror box and pentaprism to a Zorki shutter assembly.

They then continued with a long series of SLRs, lenses and accessories.
